We are seeking an individual who will perform treasury functions while focusing on property taxes and replacement and completion reserves.


As a Successful Treasury Accountant, You Will


  • Coordinate the Replacement/Completion of escrow processes.
  • Correspond with lenders to confirm payment of real property tax statements; perform reconciliations of real estate tax escrows.
  • Coordinate payment of real and personal property taxes for all communities and manufactured homes.
  • Administer the corporate credit card program.
  • Ensure all mortgages and other debt is received, processed and paid timely.
  • Prepare surety/utility/abandonment bonds for filings/renewals.
  • Process Electronic Fund Transfers timely.
  • Process third party W-9 requests.
  • Provide backup to process lien waivers for reserves, insurance, and corporate use.
  • Process Flood Insurance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:


  • A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • Chart of account knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the Internet and MS Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented, the ability to multitask, and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Retail Inventory Ownership

  • Own all inventory across all retail locations.

  • Build and enforce standardized retail inventory control systems.


Daily, Weekly & Monthly Inventory Discipline

  • Design and enforce a company-wide daily cycle count program.
  • Execute daily cycle counts, weekly audits, monthly reconciliations, and quarterly/annual audits.
  • Audit sales floor, backstock/vault, quarantine/hold, returns, destructions, transfers, and METRC packages.
  • Investigate and resolve all discrepancies immediately.
  • Implement root-cause analysis and corrective action systems.


Compliance & Risk Management (CRA / METRC)

  • Own 100% CRA and METRC compliance across all retail locations.
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness for CRA inspections, state audits, and internal audits.
  • Build SOPs that make compliance automatic and non-negotiable.
  • Eliminate METRC drift, process gaps, and human-error dependency.


Retail Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage inventory teams at each retail location.

Merchandising, Stock Levels & Optimization

Shrink, Loss Prevention & Financial Impact

  • Own shrink performance across retail.
  • Build shrink dashboards, store-level accountability systems, and investigation frameworks.

Systems, SOPs & Process Architecture

  • Design, document, and deploy retail inventory SOPs for receiving, transfers, storage, cycle counting, returns, destructions, adjustments, and recalls.
  • Drive process discipline and automation across all stores.


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years in inventory, retail operations, or supply chain leadership
  • 5+ years in high-volume retail
  • Proven experience managing multi-million dollar retail inventory
  • Direct, hands-on experience with METRC and Michigan CRA retail compliance
  • Experience building SOPs, audit programs, and inventory control systems
