- Mission Critical (Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Projects) A well-established engineering consulting firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mission-critical projects, particularly within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical design efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions for complex building systems.
Responsibilities • Lead the mechanical design & engineering of HVAC systems for healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and cGMP.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for mission-critical environments, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and data centers.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and system evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices within the firm.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on mission-critical projects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and cGMP.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The ChristianaCare Microbiology Laboratory located on the Newark campus, is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician.
This position is full time, evening shift, in the Newark Microbiology Lab with the hours of 3:00pm -11:30pm. The position requires work every third weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. The position also requires a periodic rotation to the Microbiology Lab at Wilmington.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately performs all test procedures as listed in the procedure manual.
• Performs and records all scheduled instrument preventative maintenance procedures.
• Follows established quality control procedures, documenting corrective action if necessary.
• Adheres to all turnaround times, documents calls as necessary, verifies critical values and specimen identification.
• Verifies completion of all stat results and all routine results in a timely manner.
• Records workload and other statistics into computer system as necessary.
• Performs assigned work safely adhering to established department safety rules and practices.
• Performs other related duties as instructed.
Requirements:
BS in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
BS in a chemical, physical, biological scienceAAS in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
ASCP eligible or equivalent
