Responsibilities

In this role you will work closely with the hospitalists, specialty consultants and the transitional nursing staff. As a transitional nurse you will be engaging in a relationship based care model, establishing relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of excellence and love.

You will manage a team of 1 to 2 medical intensive care patients per shift and work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve realistic healthcare goals for the patient and their family.

You will plan your nursing care to promote patient wellness and provide patients and their families with information related to their disease process and patient education.

In addition, you will closely monitor patients, handle emergencies and provide ongoing support and education to the patient and their family.

Requirements

  • BSN required

  • Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years from date of hire can be considered with relevant experience
