- Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
- Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
Work Experience
- 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
- Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
- Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
- National Certification
- Active state medical licensure
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
- Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Following are the essential functions of the job.- Examining and treating patients- Taking patients' medical histories- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients- Educating and counseling patients- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care- Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift which will be assigned by an authorized representative of GoHealth Urgent Care- All other duties as assignedNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
