POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Develops, implements, and evaluates professionally competent, comprehensive individual and group treatment programs for all medically referred patients.

Participates and initiates educational, administrative, managerial, and quality control duties.

Performs professionally competent physical therapy treatment programs and related documentation on all assigned patient programs efficiently and timely.

Participates with other members of the health care team to achieve maximum patient benefit and efficiency.

Participates in and contributes to educational programs.

Serves as a Clinical Instructor for various levels of physical therapist and/or physical therapist assistant students as assigned.

Assists with supervision and evaluation of assigned staff or volunteers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Two years experience as a physical therapist is required.

Supervisory and/or clinical teaching experience and additional clinical experience is preferred.

Meets clinical and leadership activities and behaviors as defined in the clinical ladder or equivalent.

LICENSURE Licensure by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as an Physical Therapist is required.

Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.

Ambulatory Therapist must be a participating Medicaid and Medicare provider or be eligible to obtain a Medicaid and Medicare provider number.

Functions as an integral member of the physician-led care team that provides primary care including preventive care and on-going health maintenance for selected groups of patients.

Participates in the care of well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.

BSN is required.

Recent patient care experience in transplant or at least one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.

National certification in transplant is preferred.

Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher.

ACLS preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a member of the mental health care team that provides specialized health care for selected groups of patients in the Adult Detention Center.

Participates as a part of a multidisciplinary team that includes medical and mental health.

Actively supports and adheres to the University Health policies and procedures.

Ensures efficient, appropriate and adequate mental health care is administered to incarcerated individuals in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.

EDUCATION A Registered Professional Nurse who is prepared for advanced nursing practice by virtue of knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners.

A Master's degree in nursing is preferred.

Three years of nursing experience is required and two years of advanced practice is preferred.

Certification by a national nursing body is recommended.

LICENSURE Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Prescriptive authority is required.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a clinical expert, educator, and mentor for the Retama Hospital.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration and consultation with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the nurse practitioner provides evidence-based, quality, compassionate, and holistic care to inpatients and their families.

EDUCATION

A Registered Professional Nurse who is prepared for advanced nursing practice by virtue of knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post-basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners. A Master's degree in nursing is preferred. Must be a participating Medicare provider or eligible to obtain a Medicare provider number. Three years of nursing experience are required, and two years of advanced practice are preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in Texas and credentialed by the statee to practice as anadvancedd nurse practitioner. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher in accordance with medical-dental staff bylaws. Prescriptive authority is required. A valid DEA number must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Certification by a national nursing body is required.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Assists Community First Health Plan (CFHP) members regain optimum health or improved functional capacity by ensuring that members have access to all of the health care services they need in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the allocation of resources, cost and quality of health care for members; coordinating care between the primary care physician, community resources, family and member; coordinating care across the health care continuum while monitoring and managing benefit utilization; and, collaborating with multi-disciplinary health care team members in identifying the educational and discharge needs of members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Registered Nurse (RN) is required.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum three (3) years nursing, acute care, quality management or managed care experience is required.

Basic knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, community resources and alternate funding programs is desired.

Knowledge of InterQual screening criteria as well as DRG, ICD and CPT coding is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners is required.

Current certification from an appropriate professional agency, such as Case Management Society, is preferred.

Identifies Community First Health Plan members with specific health care needs and provides case management interventions.

Analyzes, approves health care services and monitors outpatient care planning for Community First Health Plans members based on established criteria, plan policies and procedures.

Formulates and communicates case management plans that efficiently utilize health care services to move the member along the continuum of care towards optimum outcomes in the safest, most cost effective manner.

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing is required, BSN preferred.

Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum three years' acute care experience or managed care experience is required.

Minimum one-year of concurrent review experience is required.

Candidate must have utilization management and/or quality assurance experience.

Basic knowledge of Medicaid, community resources and alternate funding programs is desired.

Current Registered Nurse license to practice professional nursing issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading the development and management of stroke data for University Hospital.

Performs data collection, analysis and reporting of stroke data compliance with Joint Commission Stroke standards to maintain designation as a Certified Stroke Center.

Collaborates with hospital Stroke Medical Directors, Stroke Coordinator, and Ancillary Program Leadership to advance data collection and develop plans to address variances.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Graduation from accredited school of professional nursing is required.

Must have at least three years of hospital or clinic based experience.

Experience with reporting and analyzing clinical documentation for the Joint Commission accreditation for stroke programs highly preferred.

Work experience with the operation of personal computers and Microsoft Office software is expected.

LICENSURE Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse.

Current training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is required.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Provides nursing care that is efficient, appropriate, and therapeutic for patients while ensuring that established security requirements are maintained (as defined by the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and Central Magistrate’s Office). Continuously monitors the condition and status of patients and delivers care that meets or exceeds established standards. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 Experience in correctional health care, psychiatric nursing, or nursing in an emergency environment is preferred. Prior knowledge or experience within the University Health System’s nursing services and/or certification as a Certified Correctional Health Care Provider (CCHP) is also preferred.

LICENSURE

 Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must also maintain current CPR certification.
