Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer β’ Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Officer commissioning through programs such as Officer Candidate School or the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program followed by a structured technical qualification program at Naval Reactors; rotational exposure to laboratories, prototypes, shipyards, and fleet support issues; progressive responsibility leading projects and becoming a subject matter expert, with opportunities for professional military education and advanced graduate study in technical fields.
Entry through the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program for qualified college students and recent graduates, or selection via Officer Candidate School for those who already hold qualifying degrees; all applicants must meet Nuclear Propulsion Program academic and technical screening standards in addition to general officer commissioning requirements.

Description: Details: In this role, the Manufacturing Test Engineer will be responsible for the development of creative new solutions and improvements to existing designs of test equipment and tools for medical devices produced by client's Front Line Care business.
You will be a highly versatile hands-on engineer able to design, construct, test, troubleshoot and document.
This role will be on-site at client in Skaneateles Falls, NY Overview: This is primarily a software engineering role focused on developing and maintaining automated test systems.
The role is not purely software development nor purely software testing, it requires hands-on troubleshooting.
The candidate will spend a significant amount of time on the floor, checking machines, interacting with test equipment, and collaborating with other engineers The Role: Design, develop, fabricate, and deploy Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and tools for use in the production of Medical Devices and sub-assemblies.
Determine ATE architecture including hardware and software.
Program software and PLC's using C#, LabVIEW, TestStand and other languages, as required.
Generate and communicate schedules and project plans.
Work with RandD product engineers to define requirements and with manufacturing to determine manufacturing needs.
Work with manufacturing during deployment and production to assess equipment robustness and implement changes for continuous improvement.
Develop requirements, create design documentation, and perform code reviews, unit tests, software, and system validation.
Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or physics.
5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably with experience in PC based applications with measurement automation and manufacturing test.
Experience using instrumentation like oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and signal generators.
Experience with communications busses like UART / Serial, GPIB, USB and Ethernet / TCP Good software architecture, design, and implementation skills.
Strong Object-Oriented development and design knowledge and experience.
Experience in medical device industry preferred Experience in other regulated industries also acceptable Strong hands-on troubleshooting capability Comfortable working in cross-functional engineering teams Responsibilities: Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug existing software Provide real-time floor support for manufacturing issues Respond to high-priority production problems Support large-scale engineering projects (weekly to monthly) Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and software teams Support and develop electro-mechanical test systems Technical Skills and Tools: Programming: C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Visual Studio, TFS, Azure DevOps.
