Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities: Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. A growing orthopedic and spine practice is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assist to join their high performing surgical team.
Due to continued growth and expanding surgical volume, we are adding a dedicated First Assist to support our orthopedic and spine surgeons in the operating room.
This is a surgery only position with no clinic responsibilities.
Case Mix
You will assist in a wide variety of orthopedic and spine procedures, including:
- Total knee and total hip replacements
- Bipolar hips
- Pinning procedures
- ORIF cases
- Tendon repairs
- Knee arthroscopies
- Hand and wrist procedures including carpal tunnel and De Quervain’s
