Involves provision of patient care/service to older adolescents, young adults, adults, geriatric and pediatric patients.
Patient Care Planning
Develops a comprehensive nursing care plan which addresses all significant needs and problems identified through nursing assessment.
Prepares nursing elements of the interdisciplinary care plan prior to the initial team conference.
Reviews and updates nursing care plan and collaborates with team members as changes occur.
Patient Care Provision
Implements patient care as planned in nursing care plan and interdisciplinary care plan.
Provides safe and therapeutic care and seeks resources when appropriate.

Summary:
This Job performs all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling, testing of patient specimens, calculating, and reporting of results, performance of quality control procedures, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, assisting in the development of new procedures and protocols, may perform phlebotomy and other patient-oriented tasks, and may perform other related duties as requested or directed.
Responsibilities:

* Assures that the laboratory's quality control program is properly followed.
* Calculates, enters, and/or verifies results of laboratory procedures.

* Processes patient specimens, including collection, handling, and distribution always cognizant of minimal pediatric specimen volumes (when required).

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489 (includes U.S. Military laboratory training courses of at least 50 weeks)
OR
* Education that has been evaluated by an acceptable credentialing agency and deemed equivalent to a US Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.

Experience

* No experience required for graduates of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by NAACLS, or other organizations approved by HHS. OR
* One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, which must include a clinical rotation through the following sections of the laboratory: Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S. or with an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

* Must possess Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS

Summary:
Responsible for the direct oversight of daily operations and testing of assigned section including staffing, procedures, policies, and quality improvement. Collaborates with other section team leaders to meet departmental goals.
Responsibilities:

Summary:

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The MRI Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The incumbent must be able to provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees, prepare maintenance and repairs, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to MRI safety. The Technologist will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required

Experience

• 1 year of experience in a hospital or Clinical setting preferred
• Basic computer experience required

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) from ARRT or ARMRIT is required within 1 year of hire
• State Licensure required if in New Mexico
  • MRT by MIRTP NMED
• BLS required
