We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a dynamic 48-day assignment in Vermont, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role focuses on providing primary coverage for night shifts in the Emergency Department, with occasional day shift requirements, and involves comprehensive rounding on patients each shift. The schedule offers flexibility with 12-hour day shifts (7am - 7pm) or 9-hour evening shifts (3pm - 12am).


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide primary coverage for night shifts in the Emergency Department.
  • Cover day shifts occasionally as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive rounding on patients during each shift.
  • Manage typical ED procedures and cases, including Endotracheal Intubation (RSI), Procedural Sedation, Chest Tube Placement, Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS – FAST, Cardiac, Aorta), fractures, severe pain management, and cardiac arrest.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Diagnostic Imaging/CT Radiology Technologist is preferred to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging and/or CT and have committed hours to UVM Medical Center (UVMMC). They demonstrate progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the Radiology department. A Technologist in this position should expect to perform imaging examinations within both CT and Diagnostic Imaging modalities in a given shift. They operate a variety of x-ray and CT equipment to perform routine imaging, fluoroscopic and operating room procedures according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. In good standing with the ARRT. Holds a valid CT state license. Advanced CT certification by the ARRT is required within 1 year of being hired into the position. CPR certified.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of Radiology/CT experience is preferred. Experience with students in an accredited School of Radiology, techniques and equipment, as well as an awareness of current quality assurance practices. Job Description:
An MRI Tech I is responsible for performing complex MRI exams on varying strength magnets using powerful magnetic fields combined with radiofrequency waves. Education:

Experience:
Two years of Radiology imaging experience, cross sectional imaging and/or computer assisted imaging preferred.

Knowledge/Special Skills:
For staff holding an ARRT license (not in MRI), Advanced MRI specific certification by ARRT is required within 2 years of hire within the MRI department. They must have enough credits in digital mammography to perform exams on all equipment and be proficient in routine and diagnostic mammography exams. All technologists must perform weekly quality control on the mammography machines as required by the FDA and ACR. The Mammography Technologist may need to perform other radiographic procedures according to established practices and under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor and Chief Technologist. They need to pass a mammography competency before performing mammography exams and take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of starting in mammography. They need to assist in training other personnel and students as needed. The technologist may be required to work weekends, holidays, and on call duties as assigned.
