Your role will include:

• Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

Minimum Education and Training:

Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

Minimum of one year hospital based experience preferred.

Skills:

Must be deemed clinically competent by the medical director of this institution to perform duties outlined in the description/performance evaluation

Have excellent communication skills.

Capable of working in a stressful environment; see physical requirement.

License/Registration/Certification:

Certified or registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care

Hold a current BCLS certificate through AHA or ARC

ACLS, NRP, and PALS required through AHA or ARC within 6 months from hire date.

Current license to practice respiratory care by the Texas Medical Board.
