About the Department of Pediatrics:

As part of exciting development, Henry Ford Health has launched the growth of its Pediatric services. The vision includes expansion of the inpatient footprint and development of all Pediatric subspecialties. Henry Ford Health Pediatrics is a systems Department and has an inpatient presence at its West Bloomfield Hospital, Macomb Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. Henry Ford has recently had a merger with Ascension South East Michigan and now has a larger pediatric footprint with Henry Ford St John’s Children’s Hospital. The flagship campus, downtown is the location of a 3 billion dollar major investment for the system with its ‘Destination Grand’. With major expansion of the new academic medical center at Henry Ford Hospital, we are joining forces with Shirley Ryan Ability Lab to create a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital within our new patient tower. The state-of-the-art medical research facility for Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences will be home to multiple shared research efforts benefitting patients and members from down the street, to across our region and the globe.

With an expansive primary care network for Pediatrics, the addition of new as well as growth of existing comprehensive specialty care is in progress.

With a group of more than 250 physicians/providers, comprising primary care, specialties, APP and more than 150 support staff, clinical care is provided at more than 40 sites, including 9 Henry Ford hospitals and more than 12 ambulatory state of the art centers. Level 3 and level 2 NICU care is provided by a very strong team of neonatologists and the inpatient services are supported by a robust hospitalist group. Henry Ford St John’s Children’s hospital has an excellent PICU and dedicated Pediatric ED services in addition to Pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.

The Department receives medical students and residents from Michigan State University as well as Wayne State University and participates in academic development and research with both entities. A Pediatric Residency Program with 27 residents exists out of Henry Ford St John’s Hospital.

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology is an integral and foundational specialty. With several centers of excellence in IBD, Nutrition, Celiac, Hepatobiliary and Pancreas, Airway, EOE and Food Allergy, Neurogastroenterology, Advanced Feeding, to name a few. With extremely robust Adult GI and Hepatology/Transplant support, Transition programs and the development of multi-disciplinary clinical and research collaboration is also in progress. General endoscopic procedures are done at several fully equipped endoscopy suites with opportunity for advanced procedures as well.

Requirements

We are seeking innovative, energetic individuals who would like to be part of a phenomenal, exciting opportunity to help develop foundational Pediatric services for children in Michigan. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the development of the centers of excellence and to drive the academic and clinical components of this growth. As part of Henry Ford Health and its expansion, there will also be numerous leadership opportunities within the Department of Pediatrics and the system. Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performance of general GI procedures. The candidate is expected to lead and to participate in the supervision and education of medical students and residents. Competence in general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures will be required.

Summary Description

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs diagnostic interventional exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Verifies patient identity and reviews patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure. Interviews patient to obtain, verify or update medical history and assesses risk factors such as medications, pregnancy and/or psychological indicators. Explains procedure to patient, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives and follow-up. Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script. Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate. Provides physician-prescribed post care instructions to patients. Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction. Provides imaging education to residents, student technologists and new employees. Able to take call/standby as required by department. May perform the duties of a Radiologic Technologist, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).

2. Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period.

1. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire for employees working in adult setting or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 1 year of hire for employees working in a cardiology setting.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a role model for interdisciplinary, collaborative care improvement and delivery with senior leadership.
  • Facilitates and provides leadership to support the strategic direction of the West Region CMO to promote and advance physician alignment, engagement, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Supports HFJH in the selection, development, and continuity of medical staff recruitment in such areas as: graduate medical education, research and continuing medical education and clinical leadership orientation, and professional development activities.
  • Understands the dynamics and challenges involved in the evolution of the health care delivery system, raises issues and fosters dialogue about emerging views between and among health care providers and administrators. Works closely with System administrative and clinical leadership to fulfill their quality, safety and patient care experience accountabilities.
  • In conjunction with Performance Improvement, Quality, Safety and Clinical Operations, oversees the development and achievement of local clinical outcome indicators and care management improvement strategies and tactics. We’re seeking an experienced Pipe Designer with strong AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and point‑cloud/laser‑scan modeling skills. This role supports 2D/3D piping design, field verification, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce 2D/3D piping layouts, isometrics, and spool drawings
  • Work in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and ReCap with point‑cloud data
  • Interpret P&IDs, drawings, surveys, and laser scans
  • Conduct field walkdowns and measurements
  • Ensure design accuracy, quality checks, BOMs, and line list support
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical & civil teams

Requirements:

  • 5–20 years of piping design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, ReCap
  • Strong understanding of piping materials, valves & ASME standards
  • Experience with industrial, refinery, chemical, or heavy‑manufacturing facilities

Ability to work onsite for field validation
