The Nurse Extern PRN will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.

· You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.

· Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.

· You will assist with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating as well as transferring patients to and from other units/departments.

· Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients/families/caregivers understand patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects and follow up measures

· Educate patients/families/caregivers on healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention and/or lifestyle changes that may be needed upon discharge and prepares for future self-management

· Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing required and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

· Possess the ability to create and implement a personal career development plan, to be reviewed regularly by supervisor and/or preceptor

· One year of completed nursing school is preferred

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. What will you do in this role:

• Completes pre-operative assessments and interprets data to formalize an individual plan of care for surgical patients. Evaluates the patient's plan of care to insure positive patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates competency in circulating cases as it relates to unit scope of care including planning and efficiently providing equipment and supplies based upon physician/patient needs.
• Administers medications and solutions in the O.R. including monitoring the physiological status of patients receiving IV conscious sedation during surgery.
• Provides a safe environment for the surgical patient during their perioperative experience.
• Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the operating room.
• Participates in department on-call assignments and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. 
• Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License
• BLS (American Heart Association BLS Provider or American Red Cross BLS) within 30 days of hire
• ACLS (American Heart Association ACLS Provider or American Red Cross ACLS) within 60 days of hire
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but not required

Expected schedule:  The schedule doesn’t have a regular cadence but would primarily be on a Mon/Wed/ or Fri from 7:30 to 2-3 pm depending on whether or not there were new patient intakes to complete. No weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to assess, educate, counsel, and supervise patients with heart disease, the at risk population, the Community, and Hospital employees regarding exercise, smoking cessation, nutrition, stress management, and other healthy lifestyle behaviors and supervises exercise specialists in following the individualized Lifestyle and/or Disease Management Plan. Takes on resource duties as requested by Director assisting with daily operation management of the department. Perform all other duties as assigned.

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects. You will provide initial wound care to the patients’ surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview.

The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit.

• You will collect specimens for testing.
• You will assist physician during procedure. You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area.
• You will be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings.
• You will provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity.
• You will educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care.
• You will assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.

Qualifications:

• A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required. 
• Minimum one year medical/surgical nursing required. ICU, Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy trained.
• Working knowledge of underlying principles and standards for the following entities: CDC, CMS.

As a Nurse Extern, you’ll be a valued part of the nursing team, gaining hands-on experience as you explore the full scope of the Registered Nurse role. The Nurse Extern PRN will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.

· You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.

· Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.

· You will assist with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating as well as transferring patients to and from other units/departments.

· Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients/families/caregivers understand patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects and follow up measures

· Educate patients/families/caregivers on healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention and/or lifestyle changes that may be needed upon discharge and prepares for future self-management

· Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing required and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

· Completion of Nursing Fundamentals 

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Provide evidence-based information and education to inpatient and outpatient breastfeeding mothers.

•  Support practices that promote breastfeeding

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care and administrative support to our 23-bed intensive care step-down unit. In this role, you will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient’s needs. Our team is amazing, and we consider ourselves a family who works hard to support each other. • Your role is to provide direct patient care dedicated to stroke and trauma, including titrating and vasoactive IV-drips.
• You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• On our team, you will manage patients with high risk surgeries as well as ortho and trauma related surgeries. You will work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• You will instruct and educate patients and family members.
• Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross)
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia – (within 3 months from hire)
