Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) Department of Medicine is seeking candidates for Academic Chief of the Division of Nephrology . As the leader of the Division, the Chief will be responsible for the growth and advancement of research, faculty recruitment and development, scholarly activity, and clinical and teaching excellence. The new Chief will have the opportunity to shape the growth of nephrology services across the RWJBarnabas/Rutgers Health System, a $5 Billion enterprise that cares for about 40% of all NJ residents. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, a high-level of administrative skill, excellent communication skills, clinical and research productivity , an understanding of the complexity of uniting academic and community medicine, and a creative vision to develop a superior nephrology program, advancing the clinical, research, and training missions of the medical school. In addition, the successful candidate will have an actively funded research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research, strong academic credentials, and have a distinguished record of accomplishments across all missions.
Candidates must hold the degree of MD or MD/PhD, be Board certified in nephrology and possess qualifications for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor at Rutgers University.

The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) is seeking a MD/DO physician candidate to provide direct patient care in the Division of Emergency Medicine (EM). The physician candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The candidate will receive an academic faculty appointment commensurate with achievement and will participate in the educational, patient care, research and other academic activities of the Department of Pediatrics. In addition to clinical and teaching responsibilities, there may be opportunities to participate in research in areas of interest with other faculty members. The physician will join 10 full time faculty members who provide 24/7 in-house EM coverage. The candidate may also have the opportunity to participate in either clinical or lab-based research. The clinical services of the Division of Emergency Medicine are conducted at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, NJ, contiguous with the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH). The Pediatric Emergency Department is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center. BMSCH is a 105-bed acute care hospital located on the only pediatric academic health campus in the state of New Jersey. The Department of Pediatrics has a full complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. Outpatient services are provided at the Child Health Institute of New Jersey which also houses our research faculty. The Department of Pediatrics includes physicians and basic scientists who conduct collaborative research with an emphasis on mechanisms of disease, novel therapies, epidemiology and/or outcomes research in the areas of relevance to childhood diseases. The Department provides a collaborative setting for the study of basic mechanisms of disease and outcomes research that would provide new insights to the treatment of childhood diseases.
