The Nocturnist will work 3-4 weekday or weekend overnights to make a 40 hour work week. A desire to work closely with residents is essential. In addition to the academic opportunity to teach residents, the cultural diversity of the community adds another layer of richness to the clinical work. The location of Western Queens makes it an easy commute from all areas of NYC, Westchester and Long Island.

Candidates must have a MD/DO degree and be board certified/board eligible in Psychiatry with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications as well as teaching opportunities in our adult residency program. We also offer a collegial environment and competitive salary to include a sign in bonus along with full benefits. Compensation ranges from $289,000 to $299,000. Queens Hospital Center is part of the New York City public hospital system (NYC Health + Hospitals). Queens Hospital has been a Baby Friendly USA Designated Birthing Facility since May 2014 and a certified Gold level Cribs for Kids Unit since 2019. Our busy 15 bed Level 3 NICU offers most services except neonatal surgeries. Our strong and collaborative multidisciplinary team and the diversity of conditions we encounter serve as the main attractions to our hospital and our Newborn Service.

There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic study in the areas of antibiotic and medication stewardship, quality of care collaborative, developmental care, POC ultrasound, various patient safety initiatives and teaching. Innovative programs addressing early childhood development and the mother-baby couplet begin in the newborn service and continue seamlessly into outpatient care. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

The Mount Sinai Health System is looking for an academic Gynecologic Oncologist to launch practices at Mount Sinai in Long Island. MS- Wantagh is a state-of-the-art multispecialty outpatient center located on Long Island’s South Shore integrating more than 15 different specialty practices, including cardiology, digestive health, and women’s health care. The practice also has radiology and laboratory services, and a pharmacy. This community-focused center, which opened July 2025, serves 1,200 to 1,500 patients daily, providing outpatient care in areas like cardiology, oncology, and orthopedics and will provide multiple referrals for gynecologic oncology. Additionally, the Greenlawn practice offers comprehensive care through its sites and is comprised of 77 physicians representing almost every medical and surgical specialty. This site also has a full imaging center, state-of-the-art accredited office endoscopy center, and on-site Laboratory, as well as a comprehensive support team.
