The Otolaryngology Attending will perform a full spectrum of general and subspecialty outpatient and surgical care. Administrative responsibilities include assistance with oversight of all aspects of the otolaryngology service and supervision of advanced practice providers and resident physicians. On call responsibility is included. Candidates should have a strong interest in research and clinical operations as there are a variety of opportunities for program development and advancement. There are two experienced physician assistants within the ENT department with two more onboarding to assist with inpatient, outpatient, and operative patient care. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must have an MD degree and be Board Certified with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience and communication and interpersonal skills. The Department of Pediatrics is made up of a busy Ambulatory Pediatric Service with many innovative primary care programs - including integrated behavioral health, integrated preventive dentistry, a Pediatric Healthy Lifestyles Program, Healthy Steps, Reach Out & Read and the Video Interaction Project; a Center for Child Development; a Level III NICU and a Mother-Baby Unit with >1200 deliveries a year. Responsibilities include direct patient care, quality improvement activities, collaborating with the Chief of Adolescent Medicine to build out patient-centered services around healthy lifestyles and young adult pre-conception health, reproductive health and behavioral health - as well as with the greater team on providing comprehensive pediatric primary care services that promote health and wellness over the life course. We provide long acting reversible contraception as part of our adolescent services. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement as well as teaching of medical students and adult primary care residents. Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Possess a current valid driver's license
- Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
- Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. - You must obtain a Top Secret Clearance and retain it during your career.

- Complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center(FLETC) in Glynco, GA and 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
- Sign a mobility agreement stating your willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas.
