Seeking Pulmonary/Critical care specialists for a 396 bed tertiary care hospital in Fort Wayne Indiana centrally located in a triangle between Chicago, Indianapolis and Detroit. The hospital has very high acuity and 96 of the 396 are adult critical care beds. The spectrum of disease is broad and there is opportunity to utilize both diagnostic and procedural skills extensively. This is a busy program that is currently moving to a shift based 12 hour, 7 on 7 off, model with an emphasis on interdisciplinary care. This setting would combine a mix of inpatient (intensivist) duties with outpatient (Pulmonology) clinic duties. You will join our team of six pulmonary critical care physicians and two nocturnal intensivists. Some night coverage may be required. Seeking a board certified Electrophysiologist to join a well established EP group of four physicians in Fort Wayne, IN as part of a large multidisciplinary Cardiology group of 24: 10 Non-Invasive Cardiologists, 8 Interventional Cardiologists, 4 EP, 2 Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologists.
Call is limited to Electrophysiology only and would be 1:4 weekdays and weekends.
It is a 60+ physician multi-specialty group based in Ft. Wayne, IN established 30+ years ago.
EP candidates should be well versed with both basic and advanced EP procedures/ device implantation. Interest and competence in complex ablation and lead extractions is strongly preferred.Experience with epicardial VT ablations and LA appendage exclusion devices is welcome.
The two electrophysiology labs are well equipped for complex ablation procedures and are staffed by experienced and highly trained RNs and techs. We perform Cryo and RF Afib and VT ablations, lead extractions, convergent AF ablations and LA appendage ligation with Lariat device. Carto and ESI mapping systems are available and we are in the process of building a new hybrid lab with Rhythmia mapping system to facilitate complex ablations and lead management.
The Electrophysiology outpatient clinics include a dedicated Afib clinic which is part of Heart and Vascular Center (with clinics for structural heart, heart failure, lipid management and Pulmonary Hypertension).

Position Details:
The clinical specialist will join an on-site faculty member to provide direct patient care in the Parkview Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In preparation for pediatric service line growth and changes, continued pharmacy expertise is needed in this area. Currently this location is undergoing many facility updates (room renewal, expansion, and technology updates) along with an expansion of care for pediatric gastroenterology, endocrinology, cardiology, and hematology/oncology specialist services. Parkview Health has been a collaborator partner with Cincinnati Children’s for overall a decade to improve the health and outcomes for children in our region. This collaboration is now enhancing to bring neurosurgery, rheumatology, and drug-resistant epilepsy consultation services with telehealth clinics with world-class providers.
As part of an established pediatric pharmacy program, this specialist will benefit from close relationships with physicians and other care providers in both the inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings. Parkview Health has provided specialty pharmacy services in pediatrics for over 25 years and are continually being asked to expand into additional responsibilities. This role will have a targeted role in the level III neonatal intensive care unit with additional coverage of other pediatrics areas for weekend pediatrics coverage. The role is a full-time, 1.0 FTE in the NICU with every 4th weekend for pediatric staffing to provide advanced and uninterrupted levels of care to this patient population. This pharmacist will participate in collaborative rounding and consult management daily, weekly disposition rounds, pharmacy-based projects, multidisciplinary committees, and will precept student pharmacists and pharmacy residents.
