  • Supporting patients and the care team by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.

  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure

Radiology Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, and you will perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

  • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications

· Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved educational institution

· Valid ARRT (R) certification

· Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
