In this field based position, you will visit MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care patients to perform both physical and psychosocial assessments and electronically document visit occurrences.  Patient visits will be made in both community and facility settings. As the Hospice Field Case Manager, you will develop and implement nursing plans of care and make recommendations for care based on patients' needs.  As needed, you will contact the patient's physician to request written orders to facilitate plan of care changes.  In addition, you will also supervise, train and evaluate home health aides and homemakers working with our hospice patients.

Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.

Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.

If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.

NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital),  provides access to primary care physicians and specialists from ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester. Our 288-bed facility is home to a cancer center, maternity center, breast health center, two cardiac catheterization labs, and a NYS -designated Stroke Center. NYPW provides emergency care to approximately 35,000 individuals annually and delivers nearly 2,000 babies each year. We are an emerging pediatric center, currently home to a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a newborn nursery, and a 6-bed pediatric unit.

The Department of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), a major academic medical center within the Hackensack Meridian Health system, seeks to employ a full time BE/BC Movement Disorder Neurologist. The successful candidate will have completed a residency in Neurology & a fellowship in Movement Disorders. Faculty rank at the School of Medicine is commensurate with experience. They will join 3 adult & 1 pediatric movement disorder neurologists & 2 functional neurosurgeons. We feature interprofessional programs for HiFU, NPH, fast-track-to- DBS & Advanced Care for Parkinson’s. We seek candidates with interest in outcomes research, clinical trials, translational research, and teaching of medical & graduate students & residents. The Department espouses an interprofessional approach in which neurologists, neurosurgeons & neuro/health psychologists & rehab therapists who are cognizant of health care disparities strive to provide patient-centered care, accurate diagnoses, state-of-the-art treatment, opportunities for clinical trials & to maximize community living.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a unified Department across the two campuses of  Jacobi Medical Center  and  North Central Bronx (NCB) . Both facilities are members of the largest public health system in the country and serve the diverse community in the surrounding neighborhoods of the Bronx and lower Westchester County.

The faculty represent all specialties within OBGYN including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Genetics, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology. The Department focuses on delivering the highest quality care to our patients. We employ multidisciplinary simulation, huddling, and debriefs to promote teamwork and standardize care to continually improve our processes. Opportunity Details:

Support the Chair in the day to day operations and oversight of clinical functions within the Department and relationships with other services.

  • Clinical Expectation:
    • 60% Clinical effort.
    • Clinical coverage will be assigned according to the expertise of the candidate and may include a combination of OBGYN clinical areas such as outpatient practice, inpatient, labor and delivery, and/or GYN surgery.
    • Responsibilities will include precepting/mentoring of attendings, teaching of residents and medical students, collaboration with midwives, physician assistants and other mid-level providers.
    • Call coverage will include in house call requirement monthly.
    • Call coverage may include back up call according to clinical expertise.
  • Academic Expectation :
    • Promote scholarly activities by faculty and trainees.
    • Responsibility for the substance, quality, review and evaluation of all research programs within the Department. 
    • Develop and oversee continuing medical education programs for staff at all levels within the Department.
  • Administrative Expectation:

  • Familiarity with Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for residency education

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $358,955* based on 40-hour work week. 

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $433,955** , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
