Delaware North Sportservice is hiring part-time Bussers to join our team at Detroit Hockeytown Restaurant in Detroit, Michigan. As a Busser, you will demonstrate excellent time management skills as well as the ability to set priorities and respond to changing needs within the dining room.

What will you do?

• Check in with management for daily assignments and attend pre-shift briefing
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining
• Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and empty glasses from guest tables between courses and after guests depart
• Reset tables once guests leave, according to the floor plan or instructions from management
• Assist in counting china, glass, silver, and linen

More about you

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed
• Experience or training as a Runner or Busser with a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume preferred
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 pounds, for set-up, service, and clean-up
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions; may include walking up and down stairs
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners

Please note: To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by LARA and the appropriate Michigan Department of Education (MDE) credential to practice in school settings. Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning. Complete observations and evaluations and manage annual and triennial reviews. Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
  
• Treatment Planning: Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.
  
• Consultation & Instruction: Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets. May oversee and support a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.
  
• Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, and use research-based data for monitoring and reporting.
  
• Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks. Time off requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations.
  

Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:

• 
  
• Licensure: Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
  
• Certifications: Department of Education certification (if applicable), and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed.
  
• Experience: Preferably one year of experience in speech therapy
  
• Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required. Must be eligible to work in the US.
  
• Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
  
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  

Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands:

• Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
  
• Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  
• Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
