Great Non Invasive & Interventionalist Cardiologist Opportunities – Waterbury, Connecticut

A leading Connecticut cardiology practice, serving the community for more than 30 years, is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their full-service treatment center. The practice includes six physicians, a nurse practitioner, and a nurse call center, providing comprehensive care from prevention and non-invasive testing to advanced interventional procedures.

This role offers the opportunity to take a leadership position and help shape the vision of the clinical service line. Clinical duties include providing direct patient care in the office and hospital, inpatient and outpatient consultations, and serving as a resource for education and guidance to interns, residents, and students. Responsibilities also include seeing patients across the office and local hospitals and participating in rotational call coverage.

The position involves general and interventional cardiology care, including performing cardiac catheterization, PCI, coronary stent placement, and TAVR procedures. Candidates must have active ABIM certification in Internal Medicine and be board certified or board eligible in Invasive Cardiology at the time of hire. Board certification in ECHO and Nuclear is required (or in process), and training in TAVR or Structural Heart Disease Fellowship is preferred.

Join this collegial organization to be optimally staffed with nine Anesthesiologists and 11 CRNAs.

Additional clinical support in the practice through Anesthesia Techs and Cardiac RNs.

The practice provides all services for a 300+ bed community teaching hospital, inpatient, outpatient pain, and obstetrics as well as contracting with the local GI practice covering its endoscopy services. 

The position will offer a call of 1:6 for general anesthesia and 1:3 or better for cardiac.

You will be a part of a skilled team of maternity specialists from board-certified physicians, nationally certified nurses and midwives to experts in high-risk pregnancies. Qualified Laborists will be responsible for full-time appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Academic Clinician track. The medical team provides services in partnership with your obstetrician, using the highest level of sophisticated technology and is always available to care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit. Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology
• Superior surgical and operative vaginal delivery skills 
• Experience demonstrating excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and teaching
• Experience in collaborating with certified nurse midwives and an interest in participating in and conducting clinical research are desirable.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (2-4 days each week) 
• Experienced in monitoring laboring patients as well as delivering unassigned patients
• Direct record of safety 
• Strong communication skills with patients and attending physicians.
