Requirements:

  • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
  • Valid ARRT certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
