About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified General Surgery NP in Maryland!
We are seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join our client in Maryland for a 36-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This nocturnist role involves providing inpatient general surgery floor coverage, including cross-coverage of multiple surgical specialties, monitoring post-operative patients, and performing H&Ps on new admissions, with shifts from 5pm-6am.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide general surgery nocturnist APP coverage for inpatient floors.
- Perform cross-coverage of inpatient floors for General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Gastroenterology.
- Monitor post-operative surgery patients.
- Conduct H&Ps on new surgical admissions.
- Collaborate with on-call attending as needed.
- No procedures or first assist required for this role.

- Board Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)

- Shift Hours: 5pm-6am (including 1 hour for sign out)
