Position description
The Bancroft Library seeks an inclusive, innovative, user-centered, and collaborative individual to join the Public Services team as the Instruction and Outreach Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Public Services, the Instruction and Outreach Librarian will design and lead instruction and outreach activities that engage constituent communities and promote the use of The Bancroft Library's collections. Serving as a work lead for the instruction team, which includes the Instruction Specialist, this role is responsible for collaborating cross functional teams within and outside The Bancroft (including curators, archivists, librarians, faculty, graduate students, and the general public), and coordinating the workflow for all teaching and learning activity. This role is also responsible for developing pedagogical approaches that move beyond lecture-based show-and-tell and engage users by developing critical archival literacy through inquiry-based learning, building a community of practice with archivists, educators, and community members. Through coordinating workflows and developing meaningful pedagogies, the Instruction and Outreach Librarian will promote inclusive practices and exhibit a commitment to accessibility in the development and delivery of services and programs. As a member of the Public Services team, this position is also responsible for assisting with reading room operations and answering reference questions.

The Bancroft Library of the University of California, Berkeley, is one of the largest and most heavily used libraries of rare materials in the West. Its holdings include more than 800,000 volumes, 210 million manuscript items, 9 million photographs and other pictorial materials, 86,000 microforms, 9.4 million digital files, and 25,000 maps, as well as numerous other categories of unique material. The two largest collections are the Bancroft Collection of Western and Latin Americana and the Rare Books Collection. The archival and rare book materials of the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life are also part of the Bancroft holdings. The Bancroft Library is home to three research groups: the Oral History Center (formerly the Regional Oral History Office), the Mark Twain Papers, and the Center for the Tebtunis Papyri. The Bancroft Library is an active center of teaching and research. Responsibilities
- Leads the work of the team involved in designing instruction and outreach, which includes the Instruction Specialist, members of the curatorial team, and librarians and archivists, introducing the campus community and public to The Bancroft Library's vast holdings, critical archival literacy, and research skills.
- Explores and implements new pedagogical approaches in experiential teaching and learning to engage users in research and critical interpretation using special collections materials.
- Works with colleagues across the UC Berkeley Libraries, faculty across disciplines, and communities outside the University to build partnerships, share best practices, and create new resources around instruction and primary source literacy.
- Coordinates the workflow for all teaching and learning activities at The Bancroft Library, employing new tools and redefining workflows for increased communication and efficiency.
- Facilitates outreach programming for a broad community of users, working closely with Bancroft colleagues, including selecting and paging material, designing sessions or events, and set-up/take-down for special visits, tours, pop-up exhibitions, fellowship programs, and the filming of Bancroft's holdings, spaces, and services.
- Creates, develops, and maintains instructional tools, aids, guides, webpages, and tutorials.
- Collects statistics and conducts assessment documenting instruction and outreach activities, striving to establish a programmatic culture of continual improvement and adaptation.
- Supports reading room activity by working shifts on registration, reference, or circulation desks in the reading room and answering reference questions both in-person and virtual.
- Serves on department, Library, and/or University-wide committees, task forces, and/or working groups.
- Contributes to the national and international reputation of The Bancroft Library and the UC Berkeley Library through professional research, service, and collaboration with appropriate colleagues and organizations.
- Maintains up-to-date, professional knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education, academic libraries, special collections, and information and educational technology, to encourage innovation and ensure the excellence of Bancroft Public Services.

The Account Management Support Specialist operates as a member of a team to implement, configure, and maintain client data ingress, surveying and reporting throughout the lifecycle of the client's partnership with Press Ganey. With expertise in Press Ganey software applications and business procedures, they are responsible for supporting Delivery Specialists in gathering client specific requirements and product configuration. This role requires a client centric focus to deliver prompt issue resolution, meet implementation timelines, target dates and internal service level agreements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Implementation team to address client data, surveying, and reporting requests
- Use software tools to configure, test and validate all member experience products
- Responsible for client support throughout the implementation or on-going support cycle
- Prioritize workload and manage timelines to meet client target dates for projects and implementations
- Serve as first level support to triage, troubleshoot and find the right expert to quickly resolve client requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues while appropriately escalating to next level support or manager as needed
- Serve as first level support for QC efforts

Starting salary will be commensurate with highest degree, past college-level teaching experience, relevant industry experience and equity within the department. The current salary range for TSP positions is $1,455.90 - $3,440 flat rate per bootcamp taught.

The Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach the following courses should an opening arise. General Duties:

TSP (Teacher Special Program) appointments teach our Summer Preparation Bootcamp for the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Statistics program. This bootcamp is a short courses on one or more of the topic areas listed. Most TSP courses are taught in a 'bootcamp' 3-week format in late July and early August .

The Department of Metabolic Biology & Nutrition (MBN) at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a Program Coordinator (Academic Coordinator I/Lecturer) for the Master of Nutritional Sciences & Dietetics (MNSD) program. The individual will serve as a key member of the academic administrative team and instructional faculty. The incumbent will collaborate with the Program Director to coordinate and implement the MNSD program. The incumbent will formulate educational goals, analyze educational outcomes, and refine curricula based on emerging pedagogical theories and accreditation standards.
Central to this role is the coordination and implementation of supervised practice rotations and other aspects of the program. This includes managing instructional schedules, overseeing on-boarding, and performance tracking, where the incumbent directs student performance within worksite training facilities to ensure mastery of core competencies.
The incumbent will contribute to strategic academic operations, including student recruitment, graduate admissions, student advising, the identification of preceptors to maintain a robust network of external partners, and planning social and educational enrichment activities.
To ensure student readiness for professional practice, the incumbent will design and deliver specialized workshops and structured instructional sessions tailored to the needs of students pursuing future practice as registered dietitians. This includes developing, planning, and supervising campus-based practice experiences and providing educational remediation for students requiring advanced support in areas such as clinical practice, counseling, foundational sciences, and management.

The California Policy Lab (CPL) generates research insights for government impact. Position Description
The Health & Safety Net Researcher will lead CPL's research portfolio relating to the social safety net and health, in collaboration with and under the oversight of CPL's faculty affiliates and Research Director. Position description
The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Social Sector Leadership (social entrepreneurship, social impact investing, social movements, non-profit leadership, service on non-profit boards, social sector marketing, social impact metrics) should an opening arise. The pool will remain in place for one year.
General Duties:
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include:
* Holding office hours
* Assigning grades
* Advising students
* Preparing course materials.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
The minimum qualifications to be an applicant are a Bachelor Degree or equivalent international degree completed at time of application.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
A minimum of four years in the professional practice in relevant field to the course being taught.
Preferred qualifications
A minimum of 2 years' experience in the professional practice of social sector leadership, consulting, service on nonprofit boards, social entrepreneurship, social impact investment, marketing, or metrics at a business, government or not-for-profit organization by start date. Higher education teaching experience across the three sectors: business, nonprofit and public, and an advanced degree by start date are preferred.
