Responsibilities and Requirements
- Primary Function
- Respiratory Therapist at the SEF, responds to outpatient areas as needed-otherwise works on the ED to provide responsive state of the art respiratory care
- To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient centered care
- To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors
- Position Qualifications
- Experience
- Six months Staff Therapist experience preferred but not required.
- Education and Training
- Graduate of AMA approved program of Respiratory Therapy at the Registry level
- On a yearly basis meet all hospital mandatory education requirements
- License, Certification & Registration
- MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license
- NBRC-RRT- National Board Respiratory Care RRT
- CPR
- Other Requirements
- Highly effective and positive interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective problem solving, team building skills, willingness to participate in the education process both as a student and provider of education
- Ability to vary shift hours and days to meet schedule needs

Join Liliana Markovic, MD, Chair and Program Director of our Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences , and become part of our highly integrated clinical collaboration among Psychiatry, Primary Care, and Medical Specialty Services. Fellowship training in CL is desired but not required. Candidates should be interested and willing to work with residents and medical students as BMC has residency programs in Medicine, Surgery and Psychiatry (16 residents). Our longstanding tradition of teaching UMASS Medical School students, University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine Students, Boston College Medical Students and our well established psychiatry residency program allow you to contribute to the education of the next generation of primary care and mental health specialists.
