Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $224,989 (min) and $425,005 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, a community teaching hospital in northern Baltimore, is seeking a Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to lead and advance our comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The Chair of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) will provide strategic and operational oversight of all clinical rehabilitation services on the MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital (MGSH) campus, including acute inpatient rehabilitation, consultation services, and outpatient operations. Responsibilities include achievement of departmental financial and volume goals, leadership of quality and patient safety initiatives, and ensuring continued compliance with CARF and Joint Commission accreditation standards.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit consists of 49 beds and serves a diverse patient population with complex rehabilitative needs.

In addition, the Chair will serve as Associate Medical Director, Regional Physiatry – Baltimore Region. In this capacity, the physician will provide oversight and clinical leadership for outpatient and consult physiatrists and advanced practice providers (APPs) across the Baltimore region.

The physician will maintain a 0.7 clinical FTE focused on the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit and will be paired with an experienced APP to support clinical care delivery.
