Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for their assigned manufacturing processes. Through input from the customer, plant staff, and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities, participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction (SMED), lead time reduction, improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be involved with helping to determine project capital needs, launch strategies, project timing, process flows, labor and machine standards as well as proposed plans for changes to the process, equipment, molds, and tooling to ensure reliability and compatibility with existing standards and systems.

What you will be doing:

• Support and maintain project timeline
• Management of Project- Process/Product implementation in Plant
• Analyze and validate project risks
• Define and sustain Quality level, scheduling, deadlines, contribution margin, costs and customer satisfaction in the approval and implementation of project phases and variant creation in the pre-series process.
• Analyze and organize transfer process, SAP system generate and modification
• Establish, monitor and control Product Lifecycle management on plant level.
• Change evaluation and preliminary decision from the affected plant view.
• Define, manage and distribute change activities, process documentation, consumption management, and customer approval.
• Organize and follow Ramp Up, R&R, Equipment Industrialization
• Kick off new equipment and tools (plan budget, investment, purchase, build, relocation and setup of all new equipment.
• Plan and organize internal resources for pre-serial and Ramp Up phase.
• Create and control asset list (purchase orders, invoices, asset numbers, customs data, asset tags, accounting overview.
• Planning of industrialization in stages
• Lead cross-functional team on defined tasks in all phases of project
• Define role and transfer tasks between P1 project team, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Production.
• Enlisting teams, implementing strategies, measuring ROI and plan continuous improvements
• Lead internal and external meetings with suppliers, customer, plants and make correlation between different parties.
• Define and manage specific customer requirement with transfer and implementation in serial production between departments responsibility.
• Collect and organize execution of all norms and standards based on requirements of ITAF audit and VDA standards.
• Participate in identifying open items issues
• Review mold and secondary fixture design and make recommendations
• Develop workflow, effective layout and optimize processes
• Evaluate and implement process/product improvements
• Work with the team to develop tooling and poke yoke methods
• Assist with training of both technical and production in processing standards
• Develops short- and long-term strategy to support customer requirement
• Authorizes engineering change notices (deviations), process alerts, purchase orders, equipment spare parts inventory, and personnel training requests
• Supports plant safety rules, UAW contract, procedures and standards
• Involved with assigned project launch strategies, capital needs, program timing in support of all APQP, PPAP, and ISO/TS16949 requirements

Deliverables:

• Achieve goals and objectives relating to cost and timing
• Achieve project expectation and requirements for all elements of PPAP, ISO/TS16949 (Promotes ISO/TS16949 compliance)
• Program status reports (i.e., top five ppm’s, open items, corrective action plans, etc.)
• Maintain records for primary tools (molds) and selected secondary equipment
• Prioritize personnel and resources as activities require
• Accountable for customer/plant continuous improvement programs
• Develop and maintain favorable customer relations

The Care Management Coordinator is responsible for working with the provider and member for the management of members with care coordination of health care needs. This Pathologist Assistant position is responsible for gross dictation and gross examination of tissue specimens, functioning independently under the direction of a Pathologist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pathologist's Assistant supports PathGroup's mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
• Submit and dictate all surgical specimens for processing.

Summary

Acts independently under only consultative direction from Sr. Management. Works with latitude to plan, direct, and manage the health, safety and environmental programs and policies for a Westlake Business Segment(s). This position will provide oversight on the development of HSE strategies and be responsible for facilitating successful implementation of all HSE programs and policies. One of the main focuses for this position to aid in the reduction of each sites risk profile and raise employee’s awareness regarding HSE matters. This position will lead the applicable HSE management steering team(s) and have direct reports located in NA. This position will provide technical expert support for smaller manufacturing sites and other areas within Westlake Chemical.

Duties and Responsibilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Uses expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts to drive the development of the Business Segments HSE policies, standards, and operating guidelines.
• Leads / Managers / Directs a team of HSE Managers ensuring all focused activities are aligned to meet at a minimum all Federal, State, regional and countries laws and regulations specific to site locations in which Westlake operates.
• Acts as an internal authority on all existing and proposed changes in applicable Federal, State, and international laws and regulations related to the field(s) of HSE. .
• Stays abreast of all potential emerging issues related to HSE providing technical analysis and reporting to Sr. Management.
• Responsible for authoring of HSE procedures and policies.
• Responsible for the supporting and facilitating HSE budget for Corporate and site activities. Reviews / facilitates development of strategies and ensures all activities are being completed per recognized regulations to include job specific job tasks.
• Completes data analysis on incidents to include near misses and makes recommendations based on data trends.
• Provides technical expertise and guidance in interpreting and monitoring compliance with regulatory and industry requirements regarding preventive and remedial programs.
• Provides expert health risk assessment advice to operations/maintenance and projects groups to anticipate/identify health hazards and recommend engineering design for effective control of these hazards in modifications, expansions, new projects and plants.
• May be called upon to serve as an expert witness in any potential Health and Safety issue.
• Reviews, evaluates, and prepares replies to technical and management audits.
• Supplies technical inspiration and leadership consultation to professional co-workers.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• BS Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Chemistry with 10 years of experience
• Knowledge Level of regulatory compliance laws (OSHA 1910 – General Industry, OSHA 1926 – Construction, Industrial Hygiene Regulations) and or applicable Environmental Regulations.
• Experience with change management – implementation of new policies/procedures valuable
• Strong facilitation, interpersonal and computer skills, with a good working knowledge of related databases and applications, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Capable of developing and managing multiple projects

Physical Demands
