The Permanent Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting department, including commercial property accounting, CAM recs, CAM reconciliation, and GL.

Responsibilities: 1.
Oversee and manage all general ledger activities for the commercial real estate portfolio.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3.
Ensure accurate and timely CAM reconciliations and billings.
4.
Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
5.
Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit.
6.
Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
7.
Collaborate with the management team to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
8.
Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
9.
Supervise accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
10.
Participate in the development of strategic financial objectives.
Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
A CPA or MBA is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the commercial real estate sector.

Proficient in commercial property accounting, CAM recs, CAM reconciliation, and GL.
4.
Experience with MRI software is a must.
